Summer's Flying By!

I can't believe it's almost August! We've been having fun hanging out and enjoying our last precious days of summer. Last week Avery discovered her love of balloons as she celebrated her mommy's 23rd birthday! Avery also had special visitors as both sets of grandparents from Cleveland came down to see her! New on the development front- still no by-herself walking but Ave will stand without holding on to anything! Also new- she has three teeth descending simultaneously on top- this has made for a very pleasant couple of weeks- ha ha! We've also tried introducing some "real" foods- she's a big fan of smushed banana (as evidenced by the pictures)! Finally, her sleep position of choice now involves being on her belly, with both arms tucked under her and her butt in the air. Precious!

Fun in the Sun

Whoo-hoo! We've been having a blast with friends in the hot, hot summer sun. Avery's friend Gabby B. came over and the girls played nicely together in their baby pool (thanks for sharing Gabby!). Avery also just went to the zoo with her friends Sydney, Addy, and her new friend Ellie, a 3 year old who taught her some hilarious things to say! :) There's also a picture of her learning to share her cell phone (favorite toy!) with Addy Young- too cute! The video is of Avery's favorite game to play- peek-a-boo- it's cuter when she does it on a table- she'll hold on

to the table and squat under it and pop up and smile and then squat again. She was having a hard time with the ottoman in this video- not much of a hand-hold but you get the idea! :)

Super Fun 4th of July Weekend

Avery had a blast for her first 4th! Grandma and Grandpa Beeching came to visit from Cleveland and our fun weekend started out with Avery participating in her first parade around the neighborhood. Next, we had a blast at the zoo on Sunday- Avery's favorites were the meerkats and the polar bears. She was an absolute dream at the zoo- she giggled at the animals, took a short nap, and didn't make an unhappy peep despite the hot, hot weather! So fun! Later that day, Nana, Papa, Uncle Scott, Aunt Jen, and Addy came over for a cookout. Avery tried to eat Addy during the obligatory holiday pic (this is a pattern...)! Then on Monday we went to Gymboree class with Grandma! What a great 4th!
