Ho ho ho!

Oh what a Christmas! :) Avery thoroughly enjoyed herself, although for a moment I wondered if she was really my daughter because she didn't seem at all interested in presents, although she came around eventually! In the videos you'll notice that she was more interested in sliding down the box one of her presents came in, and then in the other video Avery and her cousin Addy were more interested in cardboard coasters than in their plethora of gifts! We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Grandma and Grandpa Beeching, in Cleveland- we had a fantastic time with them- Grandma Beeching made us lots of Christmas goodies to eat, and Avery enjoyed her first visit from Santa, complete with Santa's red bag with Avery's name on it! :) Avery loved all of her gifts from her adoring grandparents, especially a picnic table that G and G Beeching sent to the house- we set it up in our living room, and Avery loves sitting at it like a big girl! Grandpa Tom also made Avery a snowman while we were visiting (she enjoyed it more than she let on in the picture:). We also had a visit with Avery's Grandpa Lazuta. When we returned to Cincy, we celebrated with Nana, Papa, Scott, Jen, and Addy at the Finney house, where Avery was spoiled rotten once again- Avery and Addy were just basking in all of their gifts. Avery especially loves a "rocking butterfly" from Nana and Papa- she can't get enough! I'm posting a pic of Avery surrounded by all of her presents- I take those to remind us of just how lucky we are to have such generous, loving, amazing family members. Thank you, thank you, thank you awesome family! We never take the support we get from our family for granted- we are incredibly blessed, and Avery is one lucky little elf! Merry Christmas!

Fa la la la la!

Well, we've been under the weather for a while, which is why we haven't updated the blog! Poor Ave had a high fever and was out of commission for a few days! Luckily she rallied this weekend so we could finally take our family Christmas picture! Last weekend we attempted a cousin photo shoot at Portrait Innovations. Let's just say they have our picture up now with a "do not take pictures of these babies" sign:). It was not pretty. However, later on when we went to visit Great Grandma at Chesterwood, Uncle Scott got some primo pictures of Avery and Addy fascinated with a dog, in front of the tree, and playing Christmas favorites on the piano- hee hee! :) The very top pic is one Scott captured- so cute! The other pictures are from our family picture photo shoot, also taken by our new resident photographer, Uncle Scott! Avery was a champ considering she was still recuperating!
