Whew, January has been flying by! It started of with New Year's Eve at the Oliver's- Avery was just obsessed with Sydney Oliver's "big girl bed" and had a great time playing with her friends while the grown-ups had some much needed adult conversation:). Next was cousin Addy's second birthday party- an adorable "Very Hungry Caterpillar" party. We had a warm day this week, which meant Ave and I were outside for a walk and caught a glimpse of a very close hot air balloon- so cool! The video we included is Ave. riding on her "pooooony" and serving us tea- a favorite pastime. Other pictures are of Avery at Gabby Beerman's third birthday party and of course Avery in her own new big girl bed. A word on that... since the dawn of time parents have been wondering how to get their children to go to sleep (okay not all parents, but I'd like to think we're all in this together, and that it is completely normal to lay on your child's floor for and hour until they finally fall asleep, only to run back in thirty minutes later as they wake back up). I am open to any and all suggestions to get Avery to remain in her newly found "freedom bed", as I am growing more exhausted by the moment! :) Ahhhh...two year olds!
